Privacy Policy
How Kidsville collects, uses and protects your family's personal information.
Our Commitment
Kidsville Group and its centers (Kidsville Early Learning Center, Kidsville Academy Scarborough and Kidsville Academy Acton) respect your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
Information We Collect
Through our website and waitlist form we collect the information you choose to provide, such as parent and child names, contact details, date of birth, requested start date, program and preferred location. Job applicants provide contact details, work history and resumes. When your child is enrolled, we collect the information required to provide care, as described in our parent handbook.
How We Use It
We use your information to manage our waitlist and enrolment, respond to inquiries, provide child care, meet licensing and funding requirements, and consider job applications. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Third-Party Services
Our waitlist and enrolment forms are managed through Kindertales, a child care management platform, which stores information on our behalf. Our website may use basic analytics to understand how pages are used. Links to other websites, such as Facebook and Instagram, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
Sharing Information
We share personal information only with staff who need it, service providers working on our behalf, and authorities such as the Ministry of Education, public health or regional/municipal children's services when required by law or in an emergency. We obtain written consent before sharing a child's information for any other purpose.
Photos
We may share classroom photos on our website and social media with children's faces blurred. Identifiable images are shared only with a parent's written consent.
Security & Retention
We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Your Rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you or your child, or withdraw consent where applicable. Please contact the supervisor at your center: supervisor@kidsville.ca (Burlington), supervisorSCA@kidsville.ca (Scarborough) or supervisorACT@kidsville.ca (Acton).
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page. Last updated: October 2026.
