Why Families Love Our Casa

A Mixed-Age Community

Children 2.5 to 6 learn together: younger ones are inspired by what comes next, older ones grow as patient leaders.

Lessons One-on-One

Educators present new materials to each child individually, at exactly the right moment.

Freedom Within Limits

Children choose their own work, within clear, kind ground rules that keep the room calm.

Caring for Their Space

Watering plants, setting the table and tidying up: children look after the classroom they share.

Grace & Courtesy

Children practise greeting, helping, waiting and solving problems with friends.

French Language

Songs, stories and simple vocabulary introduce a second language.

The Casa Classroom

In Montessori, the preschool classroom is called the Casa dei Bambini, or "Children's House". It's a calm, beautiful space built for children, where everything has a place and every material has a purpose.

Each morning begins with a two-hour uninterrupted work cycle. Children choose activities from open shelves, work alone or in small groups, and return materials when they're done, while educators observe and introduce new lessons when each child is ready.

Ready for Kindergarten

By the time they leave Kidsville, children are used to routines, can focus on a task, look after their belongings and work with others. Early literacy and numeracy grow naturally through hands-on materials, at each child's own pace.

Educators track milestones throughout the year, and we meet with families every December and June to talk about progress and next steps.

Our Casa Educators

In the Casa, educators observe more than they instruct. Our MACTE-trained Montessori educators and RECEs watch for the moment each child is ready for something new, present it one-on-one, then step back so the child can discover it for themselves.
