The Benefits of Montessori Education
A Montessori-inspired start helps children become independent, curious and confident learners. Here's why we chose this approach for every Kidsville classroom.

Dr. Maria Montessori's Method
Dr. Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator who opened her first classroom in Rome in 1907. Watching children closely, she saw that they learn best through their hands and senses, in a calm space designed for them, with freedom to choose their work.
More than a century later, her ideas still shape early learning around the world. At Kidsville, her core principles shape every licensed, Montessori-inspired classroom, from the materials on our shelves to the way our educators guide each child.
Individualized Approach
No two children learn the same way or at the same speed. Our educators observe each child and plan their next step from what they see, rather than moving the whole group through the same lesson at the same time.
A child who is ready to read can start; a child who needs more time with sounds and shapes gets it, without pressure.

Encourages Independence
Practical life activities like pouring, buttoning, preparing food and caring for the classroom give children real responsibility. Every task they can do for themselves builds fine motor control, concentration and self-confidence.
Parents often tell us their child starts insisting on doing things at home too.
Promotes Socialization
Our Preschool (Casa) rooms welcome children from 2.5 to 6 years. Younger children learn by watching older friends, and older children grow as patient helpers and leaders.
Grace and courtesy lessons teach children how to greet a friend, wait their turn and ask for help, skills they'll carry into kindergarten and beyond.

Deep Concentration
In our Montessori-inspired rooms, the morning is one long, uninterrupted work cycle instead of short, segmented activity blocks. Children can stay with an activity as long as it holds their attention, and that habit of focus serves them well in school.
