Calling all educators!

What You’ll Do?
As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work collaboratively with Registered Early Childhood Educators and families to provide meaningful learning experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in planning and implementing weekly program activities that reflect children’s interests and developmental needs.
  • Supporting child-led, educator-supported learning in accordance with How Does Learning Happen? guidelines.
  • Documenting daily observations, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Supporting children with emotional, physical, and behavioral needs, and fostering the development of their cognitive, social, and physical skills.
  • Conducting daily attendance and health & safety checks.
  • Assisting with transitions throughout the day and ensuring smooth classroom routines.
  • Participating in staff meetings, workshops, and ongoing professional development.

What We’re Looking For?

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and take initiative.
  • Comfort using software applications for documentation and classroom operations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and classroom engagement.

Job Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Assistant Certificate (asset but not mandatory)
  • Availability to work rotating shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Physically able to lift and interact with children aged 6 months to 6 years in various settings (indoor/outdoor)
  • Ability to provide personal care when needed
  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • 2-Step TB Test and up-to-date immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
  • Must meet Ontario Ministry of Education requirements for childcare employment
